Independent publisher of the Second World War
History brought to life, in the words of those who were there.
We publish the war two ways: firsthand accounts gathered from the veterans themselves, and historical fiction built on exactly the same decade of research. Founded by a living historian, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

What we publish
Non-fiction and historical fiction
Two halves of one list. The research behind them is identical — only the question changes.
Firsthand history
Oral history gathered directly from veterans, reenactors and civilians — recorded before the voices are gone.
The history that might have been
Fiction on the same research. The kit, the tactics and the rations are right. Only the decision at the top is different.
How the books get made
Essays on living history and research — what a decade in wool teaches you, and what it never can.
History is not merely what happened. It is what we choose to remember.
